In September I had the pleasure of making a trip with Simon Schrikker to beautiful Morecambe on the west coast of England. This tiny city by the bay used to be quite a popular seaside resort until cheap airfare to the mediterranean put an end to that. Simon’s former art school classmate Dunstan Low together with a bunch of artists, art lovers and community organisers recently got together with the local counsil to use the city centre as their creative playground. With a true DIY spirit, a word of mouth network, a slew of awesome locations and their super generous hospitality they invite artists to come over and make whatever they want to make.
While we were there Christopher Stead(UK), Petro (UK), Taehoon Yangah(South-Korea) and Egs from Helsinki were also there and as we were about to leave Berlin based Jazoo Yang and Graphic Surgery from Amsterdam came in.
