Since 2001, the volunteers of De Aanschouw have been organizing weekly (solo) exhibitions in Rotterdam’s smallest art space. They have now totaled 1,259 (!) presentations. The beauty of De Aanschouw is that, despite the gallery’s modest size, artists often manage to create something truly special – read: site-specific.
For the 20th edition of the equally legendary Aanschouw Auction, you can bid on the above work on Sunday, December 7th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The proceeds will go partly to the artists and partly to De Aanschouw itself (De Aanschouw is entirely subsidy-free and relies on the efforts of volunteers).
The auction will take place at Het Wilde Weten, Robert Fruinstraat 35, Rotterdam.
